May I suggest

Yesterday evening, I met two of my girlfriends for dinner at Viridian in the hot 14th streeet / Logan Circle district. I arrived early to get some work done while enjoying wine, and I was pleasantly surprised by their great happy hour specials for this month:

All of the following are $5.00 each:
Food
sea scallop with watermelon, avocado, balsamic vinegar
niçoise tuna nigiri
crispy truffled deviled eggs with horseradish aioli
citrus cured barramundi, peach, corn, tomato

Cocktails
Orange X.O. Margarita cuervo gold, housemade sour, orange X.O.
Razberi Lime Cocktailrazberi stoli, framboise liquer, lime juice

Wines
Prosecco di Valdobbiadene NV
Castello di Medina Verdejo 2005
Chateau Bouissel Fronton

Beer
Sam Smith Oatmeal
Kaliber Non Alc.
Eggenberg Pils
Amstel Light
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA

The happy hour runs on Tuesdays from 5pm to 11pm and Wednesday - Friday, 5pm to 7pm

We were having dinner so I was only able to sample the cocktail/wine deals, but I will certainly be going back soon to try it all.

And when you do, I hope you'll post with details! Perhaps you could establish a "Food Porn" theme here to go along with yesterday's "Girl Porn"?

Something to check out. I was looking at their menu. For some reason, gazpacho sounds good during this mini heat wave.

I think I speak for all of us when I say "more sweaty tits" and "less restaurant recommendations."

Sweet: Yes! And, if you are in a sweets mood, try the Italian citrus cake--it has orange cream and fresh blood oranges--my friend got it and it was amazing!

WC: It's supposed to be one of their specialties.

Anon: Got a big weekend planned, will work on request.

Fitz: You crazy cat--

Kassy: I KNOW. I am really excited about this new spot.

RCR: Thankfully there are plenty of gutters for all of us on 14th cause Lord knows tuna sushi ain't going to be much of a base for all that tequila!

Kathryn's friend from the group dinner says the gazpacho is DELISH! and she also discourages you from discussing this any more because it's HER place. She's bossy like that.

Cloud has a similar menu, but something tells me that Viridian may have a less, how shall we say this... uhm, "predatory" clientele.

And I mean both men and women. They must pump pheromones in the air there.

Anon: Too late...we've already got a HH planned...it's yours no more!

Raincouver: I've been to Cloud a fews times and would agree with that as I def felt like a piece of meat in a shark tank.
